Dragons and Energy

Within the language of Five Element Acupuncture, there are two profound treatments that move beyond the ordinary: the Dragons and the Aggressive Energy drain. These are not techniques aimed at easing an ache or chasing a symptom. They are rituals of release, gateways into a deeper field of healing, where the unseen threads of the past can finally be untangled.

The Dragons treatment is often spoken of as a way of clearing shadows — the lingering residue of fear, grief, anger, or despair that clings like smoke around the spirit. These are the hidden imprints, sometimes not even our own, that quietly shape our emotions, our choices, even our health. By calling upon the Dragons, we bring courage and clarity to face what lies in the depths, loosening the ties of old stories and dissolving energies that no longer serve.

The EA Drain follows as a restoration of movement, an opening of the gates between channels so Qi may flow freely once more. Where energy has been locked, fragmented, or looping endlessly, the EA Drain releases it, re-establishing harmony. It is as though the system exhales, finding its rhythm again.

Together, these two treatments can touch ancestral patterns — the sometimes subtle inheritances carried through generations, unspoken but deeply felt. We do not erase what has come before, but we lighten its weight, honouring what is true while releasing what holds us back.

Patients often describe the effect in poetic terms: a lifting of a veil, a spaciousness inside the chest, or a sudden return of colour to the world. Some feel as if they have been gently “reset,” as if an unseen burden has been lifted and they can step forward with greater ease, lightness, and authenticity.

The Dragons and EA Drain remind us that healing is not only of the body, but of the spirit and the story it carries. To experience them is to glimpse a deeper rhythm — a remembering of who we are beneath the layers, and an invitation to begin again.
